Clean as a whistle!

The Arkansas Off Duty Sirens are the magazine's ambassadors to the community. They provide the staff with assistance at promotional events. They serve as hostesses and waitresses at the Arkansas Off Duty Police Shootout, the Arkansas Off Duty Golf Scramble and any other similar function or activity. They are in charge of our section of highway under the Arkansas Highway and Transportation Department's Adopt-A-Highway Program. Our section of Highway is in Garland County just east of the rest area on U.S. Highway 70 east of Hot Springs. We take care of Log Mile 12-13. The Off Duty Sirens have also recently taken control of the 10-99 Officer Assistance Program.

Celina in Charge

SFC Celina was in charge of the Arkansas Off Duty table during the Hot Springs Lion’s Club Gun and Knife Show in August. The event was held at the Hot Springs Civic & Convention Center.

January 2006

A Pine Bluff home shared by two Jefferson County Sheriff employees was burglarized and burned in January 2006. The employees, Reserve Deputy Susan Stertmann and Warrants Clerk Stacy Crowder, were not at the residence when the incident occurred.

Stertmann also serves her community as an Arkansas State Probation Officer. One of her probationers was arrested and charged in connection with these crimes. He is currently being held at the Jefferson County Jail under a $100,000 cash only bond.

One room in the house was completely destroyed by fire. The entire house will have to be renovated in order to re-occupy.
